Landscapes, Southern England

This quiet and reflective project examines our relationship with the natural world and the ties between culture, identity and nature. The photographs, a result of walks through heath, wood and forest in Southern England, use repeated motifs to navigate the intricate forms and the complex, varied spaces of these landscapes. These detailed images refer to the history of art, push the properties of the medium and explore the challenges of conveying the natural world and the nature of looking.
